About the RoleMidstream Operator responsibilities include safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of midstream infrastructure and support of construction efforts. This position requires field-based work with occasional travel.
Responsibilities- Perform safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of midstream infrastructure including Condensate Stabilization Operator, compression, pipelines, dehydration, and measurement systems.
- Operate and maintain stabilizers, natural gas engines, electric motors, gas compressors, dehydration equipment, and auxiliary systems.
- Perform basic operational tasks such as emptying tanks, refilling fluids and inspecting tanks and facilities, and overseeing condensate and NGL truck loading.
- Perform basic facility and equipment tasks such as fluid refills, tank inspections, and equipment condition checks.
- Support construction efforts by coordinating system shutdowns, pipeline commissioning, and participating in Pre-Safety Startup Reviews (PSSR) and SIMOPS.
- Accurately document field activity and maintenance in compliance databases and work order systems.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT PHMSA, PSM and FMCSA requirements, including participation in Random Drug & Alcohol Testing programs.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety through the use of Stop Work Authority and adherence to all EQT safety procedures and protocols.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the natural gas industry (pipeline, storage, or facility operations)
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and research skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment
- Self-motivated team player with strong initiative and work ethic
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various field locations
- Associate degree in a technical field, state electrical license, or other relevant certification
- 1–3 years of experience in field operations, glycol dehydration, mechanical work, or compression systems
- Knowledge of gas processing and midstream infrastructure operations
- Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Final placement will be based on skills and experience alignment with operational needs
This position requires sitting, lifting and filing throughout most of the day. Outside office assignments may involve walking around construction sites, industrial locations, field and/or wooded areas. Exposure to outside weather conditions ranging from extreme cold to hot, humid conditions is common. Walking on uneven terrain, visiting and walking around some construction and industrial sites, driving on rural roads, and other field locations may be required.
High noise areas may be encountered. Proper PPE must be used in work areas at all times. This role is covered under PHMSA / FMCSA regulations.
