Job Overview
The Mounds View Police Department seeks a LATERAL School Resource Officer (SRO) to join our agency of professionals in their commitment to protect and serve the community.
Responsibilities- Work primarily in Mounds View’s elementary and middle schools while school is in session, ensuring student and teacher safety, and fostering positive relationships.
- Work Monday–Friday, with no weekends or holidays during the school year.
- Serve in this capacity for the length of the school year, with an additional 2.75% of wages while designated and serving as SRO.
- Return to regular street patrol duties during summer months and resume school duties in the fall.
- Maintain long‑term service as a School Resource Officer.
