ResponsibilitiesTherapists at Turning Point provide individual and group counseling to adults with trauma, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues. Therapists must be aware of social factors affecting the psychological well‑being of individuals and conduct evaluative interviews. Group therapy (process and education groups) is held in the morning; afternoons are primarily for individual sessions, family contacts, case management, and treatment planning. We offer a full continuum of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care.
Mental health units are co‑ed and substance abuse/chemical dependency units are gender specific.
- Multidisciplinary Clinical Team
- Individualized Treatment Plans
- Patient‑Focused Rehabilitation Programs
- Collegial, professional team of therapists with innovative treatment modalities
- Licensure in the State of Georgia: LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LAPC, or LPC is preferred.
- Certifications, including CRC, CADC, and CAC, may be considered for PRN positions with experience in behavioral health.
- Competence in understanding and treating primary mental health diagnoses, substance dependence, and the treatment of dual diagnoses is required.
