Patient Driver - PRN
Turning Point Care Center has openings for a PRN patient driver. Turning Point drivers transport patients to and from various locations both local and long distance using company vehicles. The ideal candidate will be motivated, work well with direct supervision, have ability to make decisions quickly, and be able to work well in a team environment. Turning Point Care Center has provided a place of healing and hope to adults who suffer from behavioral health disorders and/or substance abuse for more than 39 years. Qualified applicants meet the following requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ten (10) years driving experience operating passenger car, van or bus.
- One (1) year experience in a patient field, preferred.
- Experience working with substance abuse or behavioral health patients, preferred.
- Current Georgia Driver's License with:
- no more than 3 moving violations during the past 3 years
- no multiple violations for driving without insurance
- no more than 2 accidents on record for the past 3 years
- no DUI or DWI convictions within the past 7 years
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
- Regular and consistent attendance is an essential job function; reliable transportation is required. Company vehicles are used for patient transport.
