Family Practice - Without OB Physician

Family Medicine opening in Georgia Located in Moultrie, GA Family Medicine Residency Program Faculty Opportunity Currently seeking a full-time faculty member to join their team!

An ideal candidate will be either an experienced physician or a recent graduate interested in pursuing a non-ACGME accredited academic fellowship, with availability to start in 2025 and a strong desire to work in medical education or academic leadership. This opportunity is excellent preparation for candidates whose professional goals include teaching family medicine or gaining valuable GME experience needed to pursue a leadership role in a primary care organization.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday; 8am - 5pm Call:
Some call required (mainly home call after hours to cover residents); optional OB call Duties: to provide direct care to clinic patients and to educate residents through precepting; not required to have faculty experience; must be willing to perform full spectrum family medicine care and be willing to know OB (must have an understanding; do not have to perform); additional faculty duties such as formal teaching, performance evaluations, and advising will gradually be added over the first year of employment.

Salary:

Guaranteed salary is competitive and commensurate with experience;negotiable depending on GME experience or special training such as a fellowship. Clinic Facility:
Clinic is located on the hospitals campus inside the new state-of-the-art, 14,000 sq. ft. Ameris Medical Education Center. The clinic consists of 22 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, 2 precepting rooms, and a lab. Patient Volume: an average of 20-24 patients per day (10-12 per half day) Hospital Facilities: physicians lounge with meals provided; 24-hour all-access employee fitness center Residents/fellows who make an early commitment receive a monthly stipend through the duration of their training

Requirements:a. Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)b. Board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFM) c. Valid Georgia Medical License or participation in Interstate Medical Licensure Compactd. Current D.E.A. Certificatee. Must be in good standing with current employer or residency/fellowship programf. Must be willing to know OB but are not required to perform it.g. Must be willing to perform the full family medicine spectrum.
