Senior Construction Project Manager

Lidl GB – Motherwell, Scotland, United Kingdom

£62,000 – £90,000 per annum | 35 days’ holiday (pro rata) | 10% in‑store discount | Company car

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Construction Project Manager to join our Store Development Team in the Motherwell Property Office. You will manage, plan and oversee construction projects across Scotland, ensuring the highest standards and deadlines are met.

What you’ll do
  • Oversee the construction of new stores, extensions and modernisations of our existing store portfolio
  • Manage assigned project plans and deadlines
  • Monitor project progress and check that quality standards are met at all times
  • Manage relationships with external companies, contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with corporate specification and internal procedures
  • Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety performance on all construction sites
  • Remedy any issues quickly and effectively to keep projects moving and deadlines met
  • Report progress of construction projects to the senior team
  • Manage budget and control project costs
What you’ll need
  • Degree level education or equivalent in Engineering or Construction
  • Proven experience in a construction/engineering related role
  • Experience in another retailer is desirable
  • PC literate with strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Professional negotiator with sound commercial acumen and judgement
  • Highly organised with a pragmatic and analytical approach
  • Strong multitasker with ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines/projects
  • Excellent communicator at all levels of the business
  • Team player capable of performing tasks independently with initiative
  • RICS, CIOB or MAPM accreditation desirable or working towards qualifications
  • Driving licence essential
