Monday - Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. This is a Salaried position that may require occasional work outside of standard business hours to meet business needs.

- This position is responsible for:
- Under the direction of the Divisional Communications and Marketing Director, assists in planning, developing, coordinating, maintaining, and improving the day-to-day divisional communication operations with the purpose of enhancing both internal and public awareness and support for programs and services that advance the Army s mission.
- Along with the Divisional Communications and Marketing Director, provides support to the local corps for public relations and media engagement, including campaigns, talking points, media alerts, and press releases.
- Participates in the content creation and preparation of promotional materials, including annual reports, brochures, newsletters, bulletins, exhibit materials, conferences, and collateral for divisional and/or local field events.
- Under the direction and leadership of the Divisional Communications and Marketing Director, writes internal and external news and content, press releases and media alerts, and press release and media alert templates for DHQ and the field.
- Works with the Divisional Communications and Marketing Director to identify and craft compelling stories for social media and websites, including blog and human-interest stories.
- Manages the creation of the monthly communication calendar to ensure a fully integrated marketing/communication strategy; leads in conceptualizing and crafting the calendar s strategies, content, and implementation.
- Builds out, maintains, and shares Meltwater tools for the division, including media monitoring and engagement tools, daily/weekly digests, and other media reporting as needed; provides Meltwater and media strategy training and onboarding to local corps.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Ability to work productively without requiring continuous management review of general work
- Ability to speak before large groups in person, by radio and television.
- Ability to travel to various locations to participate in meetings, conferences, etc.
- Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Some travel is necessary to perform the duties of this position.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Commercial Arts, or related field,
- and four years’ experience in a field directly related to the duties performed in this position.
Or
- any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid State Driver’s License required
- Social media certification(s) is a plus
