Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. This salaried position may require occasional work outside of standard business hours to meet business needs.
- Assist the Divisional Communications and Marketing Director in planning, developing, coordinating, maintaining, and improving the day‑to‑day divisional communication operations to enhance internal and public awareness and support Army mission programs and services.
- Support local corps public relations and media engagement, including campaigns, talking points, media alerts, and press releases.
- Participate in content creation and preparation of promotional materials for annual reports, brochures, newsletters, bulletins, exhibit materials, conferences, and collateral for divisional and local field events.
- Write internal and external news and content, press releases, and media alert templates for DHQ and local field.
- Identify and craft compelling stories for social media and websites, including blog and human‑interest stories.
- Manage the monthly communication calendar to ensure a fully integrated marketing/communication strategy; lead conceptualization, content development, and implementation.
- Build, maintain, and share Meltwater tools for the division, including media monitoring and engagement tools, daily/weekly digests, and other media reporting; provide Meltwater and media strategy training and onboarding to local corps.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to work productively without continuous management review of general work.
- Ability to speak before large groups in person, by radio and television.
- Ability to travel to various locations to participate in meetings, conferences, etc.
- Work performed in a normal office environment with little or no physical discomfort associated with changes in weather or noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Duties usually performed seated; standing or walking periods brief or occasional. Some travel necessary.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Commercial Arts, or related field.
- Four years’ experience directly related to the duties performed in this position.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid State Driver’s License required
- Social media certification(s) is a plus
