Aninsulatorisresponsibleforinstalling,maintaining,andrepairinginsulationmaterialsinvarioussettingsto regulatetetemperatureandimproveenergyefficiency.
Job Duties- Installation: apply insulation materials to pipes, tanks, ducts, and other industrial equipment to control temperature and improve energy efficiency.
- Measurement and Cutting: measure and cut insulation materials to the required size and shape, ensuring a perfect fit around obstructions.
- Blueprint Interpretation: review blueprints and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select appropriate materials.
- Maintenance and Repair: perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on insulation systems, including the removal of old or damaged insulation.
- Safety Compliance: follow safety standards and procedures while performing insulation tasks, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required:
- Knowledge of various insulation materials and their properties, as well as the ability to operate insulation-cutting tools and power tools.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending and lifting.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with supervisors and other team members.
- Comfortable climbing and working at elevations above 25 ft.
