Asset Protection Specialist

Overview

Asset Protection Specialist at The Home Depot. The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store or stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring store security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.

They prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement, and testify in criminal and civil court actions. The Asset Protection Specialist reports hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carries out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.

They demonstrate integrity at all times and remain focused on store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.

• Identify incidents of theft and fraud, review CCTV and exception reports, monitor the store’s physical security, and audit Electronic Article Surveillance to minimize loss.
• Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence; interact with law enforcement; testify in criminal and civil court actions as required.
• Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and act to minimize risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
• Maintain integrity and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates; stay aligned with store-specific business objectives and guidance.

Asset Protection Specialist — $20.50/hr.

Base pay range: $20.50/hr - $20.50/hr
