Certification Details
- Ratio: ICU 1:1-2 1:3 if IMCU/Med Surg, 1:4 Tele, 1:4-5 M/S
- Flexibility is required - ICU and IMCU Patients and Boards Med Surg Patients (Expectation to Float)
- Mostly Adult Patients, Some Trauma Patients (not all transferred out), No Fresh Tracheotomies, Stable Trachs, Levophed, Pressors, Sepsis
- Not Many Post Op Patients
Job Details
- 2 Years of Recent Experience as an ICU Nurse in a Level III Trauma Center required
- Preferred Pediatric PCU Experience - Need to be willing to take Peds Patients
- Current Washington State RN Licensure or Nurse Compact License
- Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred
- Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
- Ability to perform the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients
Job Requirements
- ICU and IMCU patient care
- Med Surg patient boarding and float expectation
Unit Specific Information
- AHA BLS required within 30 days of hire
- AHA PALS required within 30 days of hire
- AHA ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- NIHSS certification required
- TNCC certification optional
- Suicide Prevention Certification required
- Proof of vaccinations and health screenings required (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, TB Test, Varicella, Tdap, Annual TB Questionnaire)
- Various Samaritan-specific competencies, checklists, background checks, drug screens, and verifications required
