Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position requiring an active WA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a combined Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) hospital unit
- Night shift position
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Care for obstetrical patients across all stages of the perinatal process
- Document patient care using electronic medical records and/or paper processes as required
- May assume charge nurse responsibilities including delegation, staff coverage coordination, and participating in admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Role includes supervising and delegating tasks to other caregivers
- Must demonstrate strong critical thinking, crisis management, and communication skills
- Work closely with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Expected to adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Professional appearance and conduct are expected while on duty
- Up to 24 hours of call off may occur during the assignment
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent) required within 30 days of hire
- At least one year of RN experience preferred, with acute care preferred for specialty units
- Ability to perform the full scope of RN care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Physical ability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling and to lift up to 30 lbs regularly
