Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) night shift position requiring a current WA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital LDRP setting providing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
- Night shift schedule
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Interaction with diverse patient populations across the family life cycle
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient care using electronic medical records and paper charting as needed
- Provide direct patient care and manage care plans for laboring and postpartum patients
- Supervise and assist other caregiving staff as needed, including delegation and evaluation of patient care
- May be required to function as Charge Nurse overseeing staff assignments and patient flow
- Emotional stability required to manage high-stress, fast-paced care environment
- Professional growth and continuing education are encouraged and supported
- Call off allowance of up to 24 hours may occur during the assignment
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Active WA or compact state RN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- At least one year of acute care RN experience preferred; LDRP or specialty experience ideal
- Physical ability to lift and mobilize patients and equipment as needed
- Strong critical thinking, delegation, and crisis management skills
