Position Summary
Okanagan Specialty Fruits LLC (OSF) is seeking a Senior Industrial Refrigeration Technician for its Moses Lake apple processing facility. The Senior Industrial Refrigeration Technician serves as the technical authority and system owner for all Freon-based industrial refrigeration systems. This role is accountable for regulatory compliance, system reliability, contractor oversight, and long-term refrigerant strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as system owner for all Freon refrigeration assets
- Own EPA Section 608 compliance, leak tracking, and documentation
- Approve major maintenance, system modifications, and contractor work
- Lead refrigeration reliability, uptime, and energy efficiency initiatives
- Develop long‑term capital and refrigerant transition plans
- Train, qualify, and mentor refrigeration technicians
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- 8–12+ years industrial or large commercial refrigeration experience
- Proven leadership and system ownership experience
- Strong knowledge of Freon systems, controls, and electrical infrastructure
- Strong compliance and safety record
- High system uptime and reliability
- Well‑trained and competent refrigeration staff
- Proactive capital planning and risk management
