Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a Computer Automated Manufacturing (CAM) Engineer to lead production areas within our Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) PCB Factory in Moscow, Idaho. We use Computer Automated Manufacturing (CAM) software and take data from customers to create Printed Circuit board (PCB) output files. These files will be used In our PCB Factory with our machines to create PCB's in Panel form.
We are looking for a talented CAM Engineer who has Knowledge with IPC Standards, can help with experience, who not only fits the technical role, but also fits our SEL values.
- Under limited supervision, use CAM tools to convert Gerbers or ODB++ files in to useable output files for machines on the PCB Floor.
- Perform stackup creations and validate stackups.
- Use CAM tools to perform design rule analysis of printed circuit boards
- Create files on a computer to panelize data, drill/rout files and output data
- Create array drawings and pdf's to be added to an approval system.
- Verify all design and special notes on a given fabrication drawing.
- Communicate with team when a board needs peer reviewed.
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
- Good organizational skills
- Basic math and reasoning skills required
- Other duties as assigned.
- Working Knowledge of the PCB industry and processes
- 3 years or more of CAM experience in the PCB manufacturing sector
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication, decision making and problem solving skills.
- An Associates or higher degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or related field.
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s)

New hires generally start between $97,740 - $144,438. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
