Process Specialist

Reporting to the Director of Contract Logistics, the Process Specialist will optimize organizational performance by analyzing, reviewing and improving business workflows to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure compliance. Additionally, the Process Specialist will bridge gaps between teams, manage projects as well as implement, monitor and document new procedures.

Primary Duties:

* Workflow Analysis:
Examines existing operational procedures to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

* Process Improvement:
Designs and implements streamlined, cost-effective, and higher-quality workflows.

* Documentation & Compliance:
Creates, maintains, and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and documentation for regulatory compliance.

* Collaboration:

Partners with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, operations, finance) to ensure process changes align with business goals.

* Data-Driven Decision Making:
Uses data analysis, performance metrics, and software (e.g., ERP systems, SQL) to monitor and optimize performance.

* Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

Work Experience and

Education Requirements:

* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement frameworks.

* Experience with process modeling software, ERP systems, and MS Office (specifically Excel)

* Minimum of three (3) years related, verifiable experience.

* Five years' experience in Manufacturing & 3PL environments - preferred.

* Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

* Location:

Peoria / Morton IL area. Local travel will be required. Selected candidate must be able to travel within the local area. (Peoria, East Peoria, Morton, Mapleton)

* Shift: 1st Shift

* Pay Range: $65,000 annually plus depending on experience
