Disassembly Technician - Body Shop
Lighthouse Collision Center is looking for an individual with a servant heart, a good work ethic, strong communication skills, and a high attention to detail. The ideal candidate has experience in disassembly or auto body work and is able to work in a fast-paced, active work environment, enjoys being part of a team, and completes all work in a timely manner.
The Disassembly Technician assists the Body Shop Estimator and Technicians by disassembling vehicles in order to inspect for internal damage.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

- Follow the company blueprinting process and disassembly procedures (DFR) for all vehicle inspections
- Disassemble vehicles after the initial estimate.
- Inspect all vehicles for internal structure and parts from the initial inspection (estimate) and identify additional damage.
- Complete disassembly of the vehicle to assist estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% repair plan.
- Document and record additional damage and required parts on a damage report (including blend panels, small parts, on-time use fasteners, moldings, etc.).
- Assist other departments within the body shop upon completion of the repair, as needed.
- Able to multitask and adapt easily to fast paced environments.
- Valid Driver's License.
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- One year of auto repair experience minimum.
- Candidates with body shop experience preferred.
- Candidates with Auto Body Vo-Tech certification strongly preferred.
- Stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling and pulling.
- Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs.
- Lifting and carrying (up to 80 lbs).
- Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination needed to operate equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions.
