The Drafting Technician is a full‑time position responsible for drafting detailed construction drawings and specifications used in planning and construction of civil engineering projects.

• Develops various forms of architectural building plans from written contracts within an AutoCAD system; including building specifications and layouts, sections, details, truss drawings, and specialty items for building code issues.
• Interacts & develops relationships with various individuals across the company; including engineers, architects, construction estimators, sales estimators, project managers and sales consultants.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 2‑year degree in Drafting or equivalent experience, preferably in the post‑frame construction industry.
• Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Able to work independently, as well as within a team setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through.
• Self‑starter with a positive, willing to learn attitude.
