* We are seeking a motivated Jr Estimator / Asst. Project Manager (Intern) to join our dynamic Commercial Concrete team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction estimating and project coordination while supporting project execution from bidding through completion. You will play a vital part in ensuring accurate cost assessments, effective project management, and successful client negotiations.

* Duties
* * Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates using Bluebeam, Heavy Bid, and other estimating software, ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost control.

* Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary data from construction sites and manage project documentation efficiently.

* Support the development of project schedules, budgets, and procurement strategies aligned with client specifications and company standards.

* Participate in negotiations with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable contracts and pricing agreements.

* Monitor project progress on-site to ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, and safety protocols.

* Help manage contract documentation, change orders, and scope adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.

* Contribute to cost control efforts by tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.

* Assist with administrative tasks assigned by the Director of Commercial Concrete.

* Experience
* * Prior experience or internship in construction estimating or project management is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.

* Familiarity with construction software such as Bluebeam, Heavy Bid, or similar estimating tools is a plus.

* Construction site experience or background in construction management will enhance your ability to coordinate effectively across teams.

* Knowledge of contracts, pricing strategies, and negotiation techniques is highly desirable.

* Demonstrated understanding of construction processes, cost control measures, and project documentation practices will set you up for success in this role.

From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
