The Drafting Technician is a full-time position responsible for drafting detailed construction drawings and specifications used in planning and construction of civil engineering projects.

Essential Functions
- Develops various forms of architectural building plans from written contracts within an AutoCAD system; including building specifications and layouts, sections, details, truss drawings, and specialty items for building code issues.
- Interacts & develops relationships with various individuals across the company; including engineers, architects, construction estimators, sales estimators, project managers and sales consultants.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2-year degree in Drafting or equivalent experience, preferably in the post-frame construction industry
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work independently, as well as within a team setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
- Self-starter with a positive, willing to learn attitude.
- Starting hourly pay at $23 per hour
