Overview
Golf School District 67 is seeking a student-centered, collaborative, and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join Golf Middle School. We are looking for an educator dedicated to our mission: "Learning Today... Leading Tomorrow".

- Licensure:
Must hold or be eligible to attain a Professional Education License. - Endorsement:
General Science Endorsement (Grades 5 through
8) required. - Preferred:
English as a Second Language (EL) endorsement is preferred; otherwise, a willingness to acquire this endorsement is required.
- As a Science Teacher at Golf Middle School, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and fostering a safe, optimal learning environment. Key duties include:
- Instructional Excellence:
Implementing district-approved curriculum and adapting materials to meet individualized learning plans (IEPs/504s). - Assessment:
Administering subject-specific assessments and developmental testing to monitor progress toward standards and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration. - Collaboration:
Working closely with instructional staff, parents, and community resources to improve student outcomes and support school improvement plans. - Classroom Management:
Managing student behavior and physical space to ensure students feel respected and valued. - Leadership:
Directing paraprofessionals, student teachers, and volunteers within the classroom. - Safety & Reporting:
Monitoring students across various environments (playground, field trips, etc.) and reporting incidents according to Education Code and school policies.
- Physical Activity:
Significant finger dexterity is required, alongside occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling. - Mobility:
The role generally requires 40% walking, 40% standing, and 20% sitting. - Environment:
Tasks are performed in a generally hazard-free environment with minimal temperature variations.
Salary Range:
Salary will be established in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Board of Education and the Golf Teachers and Support Staff Union Local 1274. The specific range is determined based on the candidate's education level and years of experience.
