Job Summary
The Clayton State University School of Nursing within the College of Health is accepting applications for part-time instructors in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program. This is a part-time faculty position that reports to and collaborates with the Assistant Dean and the Director of Undergraduate Programs. The faculty member is expected to provide mentoring, advising, didactic and/or clinical training.
This part-time faculty position primarily serves as faculty for the Undergraduate (BSN) program and incorporates traditional faculty roles of teaching that is consistent with this faculty appointment. Specifically, this position includes involvement in (1) curriculum implementation, (2) evaluation, (3) classroom and/or online instruction of students, and (4) clinical supervision at various sites. The ideal candidate will have had previous teaching experience and be eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate commitment to contributing to CSU School of Nursing mission and vision, contributes to curriculum implementation, and evaluation with an emphasis on BSN education, prepare appropriate plans, materials, and learning activities for students to achieve the learning outcomes of each class, and clinical supervision of an assigned group of students in the clinical, simulation, and laboratory settings. Maintain open communication with the course coordinator and other course faculty and with personnel at the academic practice partner sites.

The faculty member may have additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. This is an as needed position that requires an on-campus presence. It is not a virtual appointment.
Required Qualifications
* Master's degree in nursing
* Eligibility for or current, unencumbered Georgia nursing license
* Final candidates must undergo a criminal background check
* Experience in a hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications
* Doctorate degree in nursing preferred
* Prior experience teaching BSN students preferred
