- Building Systems Maintenance:
Maintain and repair HVAC ducting, plumbing systems, electrical components, floors, walls, doors, and other facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations - Routine Inspections:
Conduct scheduled inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential problems, safety hazards, and maintenance needs before they escal - Preventative Maintenance:
Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for building systems and equipment to maximize operational efficiency and lifespan - Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues within building systems to maintain smooth facility operations and minimize downtime - Safety & Compliance Management:
Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, building codes, and company policies while maintaining facility compliance standards - Facility Support Services:
Assist with groundskeeping, carpentry projects, space moves, cleaning tasks, landscaping, snow removal, and waste management as needed - Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs while preparing reports for facility management review - Vendor Coordination:
Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, projects, and service requirements - Emergency Response:
Address urgent facility issues promptly to maintain building functionality and occupant safety
- Technical
Experience:
Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, building systems repair, or related technical field - Educational Foundation:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in facilities management, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or building maintenance preferred - Core Technical
Skills:- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical building systems
- Mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and instructions
- Understanding of preventative maintenance principles and practices
- Safety Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety protocols and facility safety requirements - Transportation:
Must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license - Professional
Competencies:- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Self‑motivated with ability to work independently
- Professional communication skills for vendor and occupant interactions
- Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and email
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and materials as needed
- Capability to work outdoors, on roofs, and in various environmental conditions
- Proficient use of maintenance tools and equipment
- Availability:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule with flexibility for after‑hours facility needs and occasional weekend work
