Overview

Job Title:
Production Technician III – Recovery

The Production Technician III is responsible for executing cGMP manufacturing activities with a primary focus on Primary Recovery operations. This role independently performs advanced processing tasks, supports troubleshooting, and provides technical guidance to newer staff during night shift operations.

Responsibilities
  • Execute recovery operations including harvest, clarification, and intermediate processing in accordance with cGMPs.
  • Operate centrifugation and homogenization equipment per approved batch records and SOPs.
  • Support product transfer activities between upstream fermentation and downstream purification.
  • Perform equipment setup, disassembly, cleaning, CIP/SIP, and changeover activities.
  • Monitor process parameters and perform in-process sampling (e.g., turbidity, pH, conductivity).
  • Identify and troubleshoot process or equipment issues.
  • Support deviation documentation and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Train and mentor Production Technician I and II staff.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience in primary recovery, including centrifugation and homogenization.
  • Strong understanding of interfaces between fermentation and purification processes.
  • Solid working knowledge of cGMP documentation and manufacturing controls.
  • Ability to independently support night shift operations in a manufacturing environment.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of related experience.
  • Associate’s degree in a life science discipline with no prior experience or 1+ years of experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
  • Bio Work Certificate preferred.
Work Environment

The role requires the ability to work in environments with temperatures ranging from 0°F to 100°F, and the ability to work in small or enclosed spaces and at heights greater than 4 feet. The position demands physical capabilities such as respiratory protection, discerning audible cues, performing tasks requiring 20/20 corrected vision, and the ability to lift up to 33 lbs. Additionally, the role involves standing and sitting for prolonged periods, performing repetitive motions, and executing tasks involving bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and twisting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
