Senior Network Engineer

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer

• Cisco-Centric Networking (MOST IMPORTANT)
• Strong Cisco switching experience (Catalyst required).
• Cisco routers, access switches, building switch stacks.
• Ability to configure and monitor Cisco environments independently.

• VLANs, trunking, routing basics.
• STP (Spanning Tree Protocol).
• Understanding of IP addressing / subnetting (IPv4).
• Ability to design/config small-scale monitoring setups.

• Palo Alto firewall familiarity (not expert-level).
• Bonus:
  Silver Peak or SD-WAN experience (Palo Alto SD-WAN in future roadmap).

• Experience with IP address management tools.
• Comfortable cleaning up outdated Excel-based inventories.

• Service Now (ticketing).
• Cisco Meraki HP switches.
• Basic documentation (design docs, configuration records).

• Experience supporting partially air-gapped networks.
• Comfort working in highly process-driven organizations.
• Ability to research and validate network configurations.

• Highly accountable, takes ownership of tasks start to finish.
• Can “run with it” once given direction.
• Comfortable doing both small repetitive tasks AND project-based work.
• Strong communicator who can collaborate across sites.
• Someone who monitors, documents, and follows process.

A mid-level Cisco-focused Network Engineer with strong switching experience (Catalyst & Meraki), basic firewall skills (Palo Alto), solid IPAM/IP addressing fundamentals, and ability to execute repeatable project tasks (stack builds, IOS upgrades, wiring, racking, configs, monitoring setup). Process-oriented, accountable, and comfortable doing end-to-end work including documentation and vendor coordination.
