As an Upper Elementary Lead Teacher, you will:- Create & Maintain an Authentic Montessori Classroom– Guide students using hands-on, individualized instruction tailored to their development.
- Support Every Learner– Observe and assess progress, fostering academic and personal growth.
- Cultivate a Respectful & Engaging Environment– Build an inclusive classroom where independence and collaboration thrive.
- Partner with Families– Maintain open communication and build strong home-school relationships.
- Collaborate with a Supportive Team– Work alongside assistant teachers, specialists, and administrators to ensure student success.
- Grow as an Educator– Participate in professional development, school events, and Montessori training.
Required Qualifications:
- AMS or AMIMontessori Certification in Upper Elementary (9-12) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Bachelor’s degreein Education or a related field.
- Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, student-centered approach.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Minimum oftwo years of Montessori teaching experience.
- North Carolina Teaching License(or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience in apublic or charter Montessori school.
- Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and differentiated instruction.
