Key Responsibilities:

Use a holistic approach to help patients and families solve physical and social problems that prevent optimal health.

Coordinate medical social services across all age groups (intra-uterine to elderly).

Collaborate with other social workers and healthcare staff to navigate complex discharge planning and crisis intervention.

Read, comprehend, and present information effectively to patients, community agencies, and coworkers.

🩺 Requirements:

Education:

MSW (Master of Social Work) from an accredited school.

Licensure:
Active State of Alaska LMSW (Master’s Level) required.

Driver's License:
Valid Alaska State driver’s license.

Experience:

1+ year in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Skills:

Basic computer knowledge and college-level writing/math skills (ratios, percents, bar graphs).

Preferred:
Experience in cross-cultural settings; bilingual skills (English/Yup’ik) are a major plus.
