Maintains accurate physical inventory counts on a daily basis, acts as a liaison between buyers, data processing and warehouse on all matters concerning inventory. Handles all matters relating to inventory control. Solves complex problems and deal with a variety of inventory control situations where minimal standardization exists. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
PositionResponsibilities
- Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
- Interpret and analyze numerical data and perform a basic level of inventory control analysis, handle stock adjustments and perform inventory and cycle counts.
- Manage an acceptable level of inventory in a cost-effective manner.
- Communicate with customers, vendors and company personnel in a positive and proactive manner. Monitor and follow up on product complaints.
- Analyze inventory issues and information and take any necessary action to include but not limited to: maintain surveillance of possible dead items, monitor zero balance items and inventory high dollar items.
- Manage area by, but not limited to, reviewing check outs, check for outdated product, handling salvage products, checking inbound freight, monitoring slots for damaged product, checking slotting errors and monitoring rotation.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
4-6 years' experience in purchasing, data processing and warehouse procedures; basic knowledge of inventory reports. Team lead or supervisory experience.
