Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System is a 170-bed hospital serving an eight-county region in East Tennessee’s Lakeway Area. The facility includes more than 20 emergency suites, advanced laboratories, radiology, and therapy services, and a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence for mammograms, biopsies, and nurse navigation. Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
Responsibilities- Completes nursing history and initiates patient education.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
- Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis. Evaluates care outcomes.
- Problem solves and coordinates unit/patient care assignments, with supervision.
- Introduces new employees/students to unit routines.
- Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills (checklist) to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
- Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs and sitters.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum ExperienceNew graduate, within first (1st) year of orientation (move to level II after one (1) year experience).
Licensure RequirementMust have and maintain Tennessee RN license and CPR.
