Registered Nurse​/Educator Cardiac Cath Lab, Morristown Medical Center

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile procedure environments
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies as ordered
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized cardiac equipment
• Recognize and respond to complications or emergencies
• Document patient care and procedure details accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives
• Establish an ongoing learning assessment instrument in conjunction with the management team to identify and plan appropriate staff development programs
• Orientation of new staff to unit or process
• Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management
• Follows and understands the mission, vision, core values, Employee Standards of Behavior and company policies/procedures
• On-Call is required for this role

• Bachelor s degree in Nursing or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
• BSN, BLS, or ACLS required

• Master s degree in Nursing or related field
