RN - ER

The Pediatric Emergency Department RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in emergency situations. The RN performs thorough assessments and delivers patient care appropriately across the continuum from pediatric to geriatric.

• Assess patients’ growth and development stages to deliver appropriate care.
• Demonstrate competent clinical skills and provide direct patient care activities.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient assessments and progress.
• Exhibit professionalism by following policies and identifying areas for growth.
• Foster patient and family satisfaction through courteous interactions.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and safe transfer techniques.
• Display knowledge of surgical conditions and provide individualized patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and instructions.
• Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders.

• 1 year experience in Critical Care, Cardiac, or Emergency Department.
• BLS Certification - Required.
• RN License - Required.
• ACLS Certification - Required.
• PALS Certification - Required for Pediatric ER.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
  Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
