Clayton Supply Morristown is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our distribution warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, load, and unload products efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate has experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack, or other equipment as required) safely and efficiently
* Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using proper procedures
* Accurately pick, transport, and place inventory in designated warehouse locations
* Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
* Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities as needed
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
* Follow all warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies
* Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and inventory teams
* Other duties as assigned
** Qualifications & Requirements
*** High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
* Previous forklift or warehouse experience preferred
* Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
* Basic math and inventory skills
* Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
** Physical Requirements
*** Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
* Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
** Safety & Compliance
*** Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA regulations
* Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
