Physical Therapist – Contract (Inpatient Rehab)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

We are seeking skilled Physical Therapists to support an inpatient rehabilitation setting within a large acute-care hospital in Morristown, NJ. This contract role is ideal for clinicians with strong acute-care experience who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and establish individualized plans of care
• Deliver therapeutic interventions aligned with patient goals and clinical needs
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and mobility
• Document treatments, progress, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across inpatient units
• Support lead clinicians with competency development and clinical initiatives
• Participate in staff orientation and serve as a clinical instructor for students
• Exercise independent judgment in moderately complex cases with minimal supervision

• Active New Jersey Physical Therapy License
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy academic program
• 0–4 years of experience as a Physical Therapist (acute-care experience preferred)
• Ability to work independently in an inpatient rehabilitation environment

• Experience in a large academic or acute-care medical center
• High-acuity inpatient experience (ICU, step-down, or cardiac units)
• Board Certification as a Clinical Specialist relevant to acute care
