Medical Office Associate , Per Diem AMG Valve Center - Morristown

Overview

Medical Office Associate (Front Desk Receptionist) - PER DIEM – PER DIEM MOA to work full-time hours or at least 4 days a week, 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

• Medical terminology and insurance knowledge preferable. Good communication skills. Multitask and organized.
• Perform preauthorization for tests and procedures, check in/out patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and answer the phone.
• Provide day-to-day support operations by performing administrative tasks and delivering high-quality customer service to patients. Manage both front and back office duties, including billing support, scheduling, coding, patient communication, and filing.
• Interviews patients for case histories prior to appointments.
• Schedules and coordinates appointments; maintains patient health records; verifies insurance coverage; assists the billing department with processing claims.
• Communicates test results to patients as directed by physicians or nursing professionals; contacts patients regarding appointments and billing questions; assists with rescheduling as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned; maintains high confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Associate’s degree in Medical Office Management, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a medical office environment or relevant area.
• 2+ years of administrative experience.
