Cardiovascular Educator

Overview

The Cardiovascular Educator provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher. Educator supports the development of the bedside echo technologist, and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced-based practice. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency assessment, continuing education and leadership development.

• 25% Provide clinical education and hands-on training to cardiac sonographers, students, and new hires
• 25% Oversee competency assessments, skills development, and continuing education for the Outpatient CV Imaging departments
• 10% Collaborate with department leaders to ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and staff preparedness
• 25% Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for new technologies, protocols, and procedures
• 5% Assist with program development and partnerships with schools, externships, and outreach efforts
• 10% Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies as needed to support team operations

Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations
Certificates ACLS and BLS; must be ARDMS RDCS with Adult Echocardiography (AE) OR CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). Advanced Cardiovascular Sonographer certification preferred.
5+ years of prior experience – Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
