• Give allergy injections and mix allergy serums.
• Patient triage: weight, blood pressure, temperature readings, updating medication list and obtaining and documenting chief complaint.
• Electronic patient prescription services including communication with pharmacies and verification of all medical prescriptions.
• Knowledge of EMR.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Handle precertification requirements for all procedures.
• Call patients regarding lab results.
• Maintain daily logs.
• Answer questions regarding patient appointments and testing.
• Communicate with patients regarding patient information and education about procedure preps.
• Schedule procedures and certain medical tests and referral appointments by scheduling dates, times and locations, coordinating and rescheduling as necessary.
• Verify demographics and insurance information in the patient medical record or file.
• Assist other staff as directed.
• Perform other job functions as directed.
• Knowledge of nursing principles and protocols and all aspects of medication names and prescribing.
• Knowledge of policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety and patient confidentiality as directed by HIPAA standards.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting and records.
• Attend meetings as required.

• Customer service skills and a pleasant, courteous demeanor while dealing with all patients and callers.
• Well organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently without much supervision.

• Daily standing, walking, squatting, bending, and maneuvering.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Licenses &

Certifications:

State Licensed LPN Nurse;
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification;
Current CPR Certification.
