We have a great opportunity for an Entry‑Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Morristown, NJ office. As an entry‑level engineer, you’ll design and analyze foundation systems, retaining structures, and slopes for transportation infrastructure projects for both public and private clients. Your engineering skills will develop through design and analysis of shallow and deep foundations, including piles and drilled shafts, retaining walls, and support of excavation systems.
Responsibilities- Perform geotechnical engineering design and analysis of foundation systems, retaining structures and slopes.
- Design and analyze shallow and deep foundations, piles and drilled shafts, retaining walls, and excavation support.
- Inspect geotechnical exploratory and construction-related activities.
- Develop and perform oversight of subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to deliver bold solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Working knowledge of soil mechanics theory and laboratory testing techniques.
- Engineer‑In‑Training certificate.
- 0–2 years of design experience in a consulting/contracting environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel for work.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills including CADD and Microsoft Office.
- Driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Master of Science in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Previous internship in geotechnical evaluations, soil and rock classification, design analysis of foundation and ground retention systems.
- Familiarity with geotechnical analysis programs (Ensoft APile, LPile, Group, Geo Studio Slope/Rocscience SLIDE, GRLWeap, Deep Ex, Bentley gINT/Open ground, and AutoCAD).
- Python programming and application of AI and ML in civil engineering considered an added advantage.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

CompensationThe base salary range for this position is $66,900.00 to $90,000.00; pay is hourly based on hours worked. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
