Morristown Chevrolet (Hudson Automotive Group) is hiring experienced automotive diesel technicians to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems and perform test drives and warranty repairs at a high-volume dealership service center. The role requires 3-5+ years of technician experience, offers company-funded manufacturer training, retention bonuses, PTO from day one, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and tool assistance. Candidates must pass background/MVR/drug tests and hold a valid driver’s license;

manufacturer experience and customer-focused professionalism are preferred.

What are the responsibilities for an Automotive Technician with Hudson Automotive?

  • Technicians perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with quality and dealership standards.
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years Automotive Technician Experience (Required)
  • Manufacturer experience preferred
  • Customer focused professional who is self-motivated, competitive and coachable.
