Security Officer varies, Morristown, NJ

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Security Officer for the Security Department at Morristown Medical Center – Days and Shift Hours may vary.

• The selected candidate must be able to work, first, second and third shifts, weekends and Holidays and over time as required. Shifts may be 8 or 12 hours in duration.
• Must be available for call back as required.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for at least 4 hours at a time.
• The candidate must be able to attend mandatory training sessions.
• Proficiency with computers is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with the department's computer system are essential.
• The selected candidate must be able to engage with patients, visitors, and staff.
• This position includes safety tours of the facility and grounds, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and gathering information, completing electronic reports, de-escalating violent or threatening individuals.
• The candidate will be exposed to Bio-Hazards such as Blood, Vomit, Saliva, and Urine.
• The candidate will be required to pass an N95 Fit Test. Be able to wear an N95 or surgical mask for short and extended periods of time.
• The candidates will be oriented on one or more shifts during their initial orientation.
• Candidates will be required to pass an AHS approved physical control tactics course.
• The applicant must be available for re-call
• The applicant must be able to flex their schedule to accommodate organizational staffing needs.
• Be able to work shifts of varying durations including 8 and 12 hours
