Primary Care Sales Consultant - Morristown / Princeton, NJ

This role is focused on implementing sales strategies and driving launch activities for approved products in the Cardiorenal space and upcoming menopause launches.

Responsibilities
  • Build and develop professional relationships with primary care and pharmacy staff within assigned customers.
  • Drive appropriate utilization of approved CV and menopause products; work closely with the Customer Squad to generate pull-through within local payers and community HCPs.
  • Leverage expertise in diabetes and menopause marketplace, competitors, industry and cross-functional plans to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Provide input to sales leadership and regional account managers for strategic and tactical planning for territory, area, and region.
  • Develop and implement effective customer-specific business plans and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential.
  • Understand fully the assigned customers’ product and business needs and work to meet those needs while adhering to Bayer ethics and compliance standards.
  • Anticipate barriers to goals and propose responsible solutions for success.
  • Handle customer objections effectively and exceed expectations; may train others in the region on occasion.
  • Leverage emerging technologies to enhance performance and continuously improve proficiency.
  • Understand and comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations and apply high ethical standards in day-to-day work.
Who you are

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance in a sales role or relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in developing long-standing relationships with customers.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to foster ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Ability to comply with customer credentialing and safety requirements (e.g., vaccinations, trainings).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5 years of successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical sales experience in competitive landscapes.
  • In-depth knowledge in cardiovascular and/or diabetes and/or menopause disease states.
  • Product launch experience.
  • Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
  • Virtual Sales Experience.
  • Strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of local market.
Compensation and Benefits

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $ and $. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
