Nurse Navigator - Part-time 22.5 Days 8a - 4p, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Job DescriptionNurse Care Navigator Responsibilities:
- Work with medical staff to create patient care plans
- Work one-on-one with patients and newborn to ensure their needs are met
- Develop and implement policies and protocols that will ensure the success of our program
- Serve as point of contact between providers and patients
- Be a familiar, reliable, and accessible resource for patients as they navigate a stressful time
- Ensure that all HIPAA regulations are followed
- Valid registered nurse license to practice in New Jersey.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous experience in pediatrics, maternal fetal medicine, or obstetrics preferred.
- Prior healthcare administration experience would also contribute to success in this role.
- Working knowledge of key medical terminology and willingness to learn about the clinical aspects of perinatal care.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and leadership skills
- Skill at implementing new protocols and procedures to optimize efficiency
