Responsibilities Include:

  • Interact with Atlantic Visiting Nurse team members in an office and community setting
  • Working hand-in-hand with our visiting nurses to see patients in their home environment and help them towards their individual health goals
  • Working with our specialty programs, including Remote Patient Monitoring, Virtual Care, and Wound Program, which provide skilled consultations; these programs aim to reduce the risk of patients being re-hospitalized, while providing an elevated level of assessment and collaboration
  • Working with our office team members, who support the patient experience and provide daily oversight to workplace operations
  • Includes positive collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to report changes in the patient’s condition and progress towards goals
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident
  • Extremely organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understand basic clinical knowledge/nursing
  • Curious and willing to learn
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
