Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse:
Monitor and assess patients' condition as they recover from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
Administer and manage medications, including pain management, as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and other parameters to ensure patient stability and wellbeing.
Assess and manage post-operative pain, nausea, and other discomforts.
Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients' recovery.
Provide Emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding post-operative care, pain management, and potential complications.
Ensure the post-operative area is clean, well-stocked, and equipped with necessary equipment.
Document accurate and timely patient information, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure a smooth transition from the PACU to other care settings.
Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and quality care delivery.

Requirements of the Travel Nurse:
Valid NJ/Compact Registered Nurse (RN) Licence
Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a PACU setting
