ScheduleAM Shift: 10 AM - 11 PM, Friday;
No weekends or call required.
The Registered Nurse in the PACU/Critical Care unit is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through skilled assessments, clinical competency, and professionalism. This role involves working with patients of various ages, from pediatric to geriatric, and requires detailed documentation of care provided.
Responsibilities- Perform systematic assessments to evaluate patients’ conditions and deliver care appropriately across all growth stages.
- Demonstrate strong clinical skills while providing direct patient care and support within a team environment.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation in patient charts, in line with established guidelines.
- Exhibit professionalism by identifying areas for clinical improvement and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Promote a patient-centered environment through positive communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Follow safety protocols, including the National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol.
- Show competency in emergency procedures and equipment usage, particularly in surgical settings.
- Individualize patient care according to specific procedures and anesthesia types.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and educates patients and families on care plans.
- Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness.
- 1 year of PACU or Critical Care experience.
- Active RN License.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- CCRN or CPAN certification preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
