Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleAM Shift: 7 am - 7 pm, 3x12 hour shifts
Job DescriptionThe Travel Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing patient care for high-risk pregnancies in a large hospital setting. The RN will perform thorough assessments, demonstrate clinical skills, and maintain documentation while providing a safe and professional environment for patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Conduct systematic and comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from Pediatric to Geriatric.
- Provide competent direct patient care and demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation in compliance with guidelines, including patient education.
- Exhibit professionalism and identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
- Respond to patients, families, and co-workers in a courteous and positive manner, enhancing patient satisfaction.
- Follow National Patient Safety Goals and use safe transfer techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specific conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment related to surgical patients.
- Prioritize patient care depending on needs and changes in conditions.
- Assess patient understanding of surgical procedures and provide pre-operative and post-operative education.
- Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness.
- Previous travel experience with high-risk pregnancies in large hospital settings is required.
- Active RN License.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing;
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
