The Senior Data Engineer with a focus on Finance & Accounting will lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-native data services to support our finance treasury and accounting functions. This role includes hands‑on data engineering, technical leadership, and comprehensive project ownership, ensuring accountability from solution design to production delivery.

• Own the complete delivery of finance and accounting data service solutions, covering requirements gathering, architecture design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Design and create Snowflake‑based financial data architectures, incorporating accounting‑ready data models and DBT transformation pipelines.
• Build and maintain high‑reliability data pipelines to support financial reporting, reconciliations, close processes, and subsequent analytics.
• Lead cloud data engineering initiatives related to general ledger, revenue, payments, claims, billing, and operational finance workflows.
• Act as the technical lead on finance‑focused projects, defining engineering standards and ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Analytics teams to convert business and accounting requirements into scalable data products.
• Ensure data integrity, auditability, and traceability in financial data, including controls, lineage, and reconciliation processes.
• Mentor and guide data engineers through code and design reviews, providing hands‑on technical leadership.
• Establish and uphold data quality and governance practices that align with financial and regulatory standards.
• Assist in migrating financial data platforms from on‑premises systems to cloud solutions.
• Drive Agile delivery practices, participating in sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and release management.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and compliance standards pertinent to financial and healthcare data.

• 7+ years in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or ownership capacity.
• Proven experience in developing data solutions for finance and accounting, including general ledger, revenue, payments, claims, billing, or financial reporting.
• Expertise in designing and implementing Snowflake cloud data warehouse solutions.
• Strong background in cloud engineering for financial data platforms, including data lakes and pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills, capable of handling complex queries and performance tuning.
• Experience managing enterprise financial data warehouses and data lakes.
• Hands‑on experience in migrating financial data systems to cloud environments.
• Deep understanding of financial data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and analytics architecture.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship abilities along with strong collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with both technical teams and finance/accounting stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• 5+ years using modern ETL/ELT tools, especially DBT.
• Experience with columnar MPP cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.
• Proficiency in complex SQL query development, performance tuning, and stored procedure creation.
• Python skills for data engineering and financial data processing are beneficial.
