The role is the first and last impression for clients and customers, requiring a warm welcome, professional demeanor, and the ability to manage guest interactions respectfully.

Salary and location details vary by position, with multiple postings including Hospitality Valet Attendant in Morristown, NJ and Parking Attendant (non-driving / non-valet) across several New Jersey locations.

The Spirit of the Position:

Do you love driving cars? Meeting new people? Are you energetic and fast on your feet? If so, we are looking for you to join our team as a Valet Attendant.

Responsibilities
  • Park and retrieve cars carefully, efficiently, and promptly. Greet customers by name, assist their needs, and build rapport with each driver.
  • Direct traffic to maintain a clean, organized flow of cars with a positive attitude.
  • Provide a self-reliant attitude; work with or without supervision.
  • Promote excellent customer relations; create a welcoming experience for customers at the LAZ Parking stand.

  • Dynamic — charismatic, energetic, and eager to help.
  • Dependable — responsible and trustworthy.
  • A good driver with a clean driving record; able to drive a manual transmission; cautious with other people’s property.
  • Good under pressure — able to stay calm and focused in challenging situations.
  • Effective communicator — able to read, write, and understand English well.
  • A team player — open to different opinions and able to motivate others.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience
  • Cash handling experience preferred but not required.
  • Parking industry experience preferred but not required.
Skills
  • Ability to drive a manual shift vehicle.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Willingness to be flexible and work at multiple facility locations.
  • Ability to handle challenging and emotionally charged situations.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and make independent decisions.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Excellent team-building and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands
  • Willingness to work in the elements (heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.).
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently during shifts.
