Atlantic Health is seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant for Surgical Services at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. The Department of Surgery is looking for a board‑certified PA to provide OR first assistant coverage and manage admissions, consults, rounding support, post‑op management, bedside procedures, and patient discharges. This role offers growth and exposure to high‑acuity patients, complex procedures, and a high volume of DaVinci Robotic Surgery cases.

The ideal candidate will be collaborative, well‑versed in all aspects of General Surgery—including laparoscopic procedures—possess a positive and caring attitude, excellent communication skills, clinical expertise, and previous operative experience. Successful candidates will have access to the Da Vinci Robotic system and an opportunity to enhance their robotics knowledge and skillset.

This is a per diem position, ideally looking for 2–4 shifts per month. Depending on operative needs, the shift could vary from 8–12 hours. There is an extensive onboarding and training period in a supportive environment for collaboration and learning.

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program – NCCPA certified
• 1–3 years of surgical experience or surgical residency‑trained candidates preferred; new graduates will be considered
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
• ACLS and BLS required
• Completion of postgraduate surgical residency/fellowship is a plus
• DaVinci certification preferred
• Knowledgeable and comfortable with laparoscopic procedures
