Base pay range

$40.00/hr - $70.40/hr

Job Description
  • Plans, organizes, and evaluates daily and long‑term operations of outpatient cardiac imaging sites, setting productivity levels that reflect volume, safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Ensures patient satisfaction, security, and efficient operation; enforces mandated policies, prepares statistical data for accrediting agencies, schedules diagnostic procedures, and makes independent decisions.
  • Monitors utilization of supplies, equipment, and staffing; collaborates with the Medical Director and Administrative Director on capital needs; coordinates staffing patterns to meet operational requirements.
  • Performs comprehensive cardiac examinations, takes short cardiovascular histories, contacts referring physicians for clarification, follows departmental protocols, ensures safety measures, and performs preliminary interpretation of lab results.
  • Completes clerical tasks including logging, data entry, and reporting in accordance with department protocols.
  • Establishes and maintains new policies and procedures consistent with hospital guidelines and licensing standards; develops diagnostic scheduling policies and medical data collection forms.
  • Observes and evaluates equipment function; reports issues to Biomedical Engineering; schedules preventative maintenance; recommends purchase of new equipment; develops equipment assessment policies.
  • Ensures patient, family, staff, and student educational needs are met through collaboration with the Educational Director and providing pre‑ceptor rotations and didactic instruction.
  • Plans, initiates, monitors, and evaluates the department’s continuous quality improvement program; ensures staff participation and implements changes.
  • Communicates effectively intra‑ and inter‑departmentally; participates on committees, conducts staff meetings, collaborates with physicians, and provides coaching.
  • Pursues personal and professional growth by attending conferences, reading literature, and suggesting new techniques or procedures.
  • Travel between imaging centers mandatory.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Cardiology or a relevant area.
  • BLS certification.
  • ARDMS and/or CCI certifications.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Graduate of an accredited CVT School.
