Registered Nurse, Radiology - Special Procedures, Per Diem, OMC

Atlantic Heath System is seeking a Per-Diem Registered Nurse for the Radiology - Special Procedures department at Overlook Medical Center, Summit, NJ. The role requires a varied shift schedule, including weekends when needed.

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for critically ill medical and surgical patients undergoing invasive procedures under modalities such as Fluoroscopy, CT Scan, Nuclear Medicine, PET Scan, MRI, and general x-ray.
• Assist with invasive procedures in Interventional Radiology, Endovascular Surgery, and Neurosciences, using aseptic techniques per AORN guidelines.
• Collaborate with all members of the health care team under the model of Shared Governance, promoting evidence‑based care within a healing culture for the interventional radiology patient population and their families.
• Develop and maintain all required competencies related to the care and management of the interventional radiology patient population.
• Provide responsible, professional critical care nursing within an integrated Health Care System.
• Demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence).
• Exhibit excellent communication and computer skills.

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (required)
• BSN preferred

• At least 2 years of Acute Care Cardiac/Telemetry or Critical Care experience (preferred)

• Valid New Jersey Nursing License (required)
• BLS Certification (required)
• ACLS Certification (required)
• CCRN and/or RCIS (preferred)
